Sasha Svirsky (1980) is a graduated painter and self-taught animator from the Soviet Runo village, Stavropol area. Began to work as an independent animation film director in 2008. Explores the possibilities of digital animation, revising its purpose as an entertainment and applied medium. Uses animation as an artist’s tool, unlocking the potential for visual experiments and creating philosophical narratives and essays.


Sasha and his partner Nadya Svirskaia have participated in contemporary art exhibitions with media installations. Currently, they are based in Berlin.
